Susan has over 35 years conference, incentive travel and event management experience - planning and organising events all over the world. Her career started in the UK and in 1996 she relocated to Melbourne. In 1998 she established Wise Connections as a boutique provider of conference management, event management and incentive travel services. Susan has delivered conferences, travel incentives and corporate events in over 30 countries including Australasia, Asia, Europe, Scandinavia, the Americas and the Caribbean.
Susan has been actively involved with the national industry body, MEA (Meetings Events Australia) since 1999.
Susan sat on the MEA Board of Directors from 2010 - 2018, holding the position of Treasurer from 2014 – 2018. She is an Accredited Meeting Manager (AMM) and a strong advocate of professionalism and professional development within the Meetings and Events Industry, and has taught Project Management to Diploma of Events and Post-Graduate Diploma of Events students.
